Welcome to University Academic Services
The Office of University Academic Services (UAS) is an academic advising unit which provides advising and enrollment services to students who are admitted to the University through Special Admission Programs and those in the University Assessment Program who are on academic probation. Transfer students undecided about their major are also advised through UAS. The Transfer Student Resource Center (TSRC) welcomes all transfer students and is where the Transfer Student Organization and Tau Sigma (the National Transfer Honor Society) are located.
In addition to assisting students as they determine their enrollment schedules, academic counselors work individually with students to answer questions about various degree programs, University policies, career and major choices.
Through orientation courses designed for these specific audiences, academic advisors in UAS acquaint students to the various policies, procedures and resources at OSU; offer tips on study skills and habits; and identify possible majors and fields of study they might wish to pursue.
Once students find an appropriate major and satisfy any deficiencies they might have, UAS advisors will assist them in transferring to one of the six undergraduate colleges within the University.
